Grillo GF3DF Sickle Bar Mower

The Grillo GF3 is a perfectly balanced sickle bar; the engine and the PTO are positioned in such way to obtain the ideal ground clearance for professional mowing even on slopes. The centre of gravity was designed to make the GF3 DF manoeuvrable and safe even under the most demanding working conditions. The diff-lock and  independent braking on each wheel ensures complete and easy manoeuvrability, obtaining greater traction in difficult conditions. The 3 gears are all utilisable whilst mowing.  The Grillo GF3 DF is equipped with an active cone clutch, a device considerably increasing the operator’s safety.  The vast choice of cutter bars allows you to fulfill all cutter bar users’ requirements.The large range of accessories make the GF3 DF a real multi-purpose machine.

Weight Distribution - The GF3 DF’ s weight distribution has been designed in such way to increase its stability when mowing on slopes. In order to further increase stability on slopes, Grillo has a wheel extension kit to obtain a wider track up to 24 cm, pneumatic wheels with high adherence tyre profile design and a laterally adjustable handlebar.

Mechanical Transmission - The GF3 DF’s mechanical transmission with its oil bath gears is located inside an aluminium pressed casing. The lever-operated controls for the gears and P.T.O are all easily accessible.The active cone clutch lever controls the drive; once you let go of the handlebar the cutter bar will stop with the engine still running. For further safety of the operator, the drive lever is equipped with a double control to avoid any involuntary actons. The double control can be activated with only one hand.

Differential - The differential increases the manoeuvrability and, combined with the brakes, makes the Grillo GF3 DF agile even manoeuvring on slopes. The two brake drums mounted on the wheels are operated by the two levers on the handlebar and allow alternate wheel-braking to improve the turning radius. The diff-lock and  independent braking on each wheel ensures complete and easy manoeuvrability, obtaining greater traction in difficult conditions.

Gearbox - The gearbox has 3 forward and 3 reverse gears and has been designed by Grillo to achieve the optimum mowing speed, 1.1, 2.6 and 4.3 km/h when fitted with the “Tractor” wheels 4.00-8.In order to produce an even cut, the cutter bar is freely inclinable to allow for any ground undulations. The handlebar is mounted on anti-vibrating rubbers which dampen the vibrations also laterally. The handlebar is laterally adjustable for use on slopes and height adjustable to meet all user requirements. It is also reversible and can be lowered to considerably reduce the machine’s size. All controls are in a comfortable position including the handlebar adjusting levers.
