Bison 1879 Wood Carving Hatchet Axe 330mm 500g Description

A razor sharp axe tailored for wood carving. Built on the popular design of the Hunters hatchet, the profiled axe bit is finely sharpened with a precise 30 degree finish that helps produce desired shaping of wood.

Lightweight and well balanced, the Bison Wood Carving hatchet is distinguished by the pronounced lower shape of the axe head making it very useful for contoured cutting and choking of the axe for user control. Suitable for a variety of purposes in the forest and garden too. The handle is made of solid and resilient hickory wood with excellent vibration absorption, ergonomically shaped for user comfort and finished with natural varnish.

The cutting edge is sharply ground, whilst the hickory handle is triple wedged for maximum safety.
